Patriot and GQ Model
Artist unknown; model unknown: public image capture. This was the result of what I call a drive-by shooting. I was a passenger and I had my camera on my lap, set to a shutter speed of 1/1000th. When I would see something interesting, I would lift it in an instant and capture a set of images. The neighborhood wasn't the best. Here I was attracted by a patriotic image, probably pirate and likely tolerated. It was a swiftly executed, brightly colored, primative work with an oddly pensive expression. At this bus stop, though, stood a young man who could have been caught modeling clothing in GQ, himself looking pensive. Together, well, you see the synergistic result. I've amped up the color and brought out detail draped in shadows of the original capture. It should have been grainy, but isn't. Sometimes a good camera can help you eke out a good result from a questionable capture.
